Fine Day Sunday

in my opinion, best day of the week

About Me

Hi, guys and girls. Welcome to FineDaySunday. I sincerely hope you find something worth reading around here. If so, that’s good news for you because I tend to focus quite a bit on the same rather narrow range of topics during any given weekly post (although I try to broaden my horizons as often as possible). As you’ll no doubt discover, I have tendencies to overindulge the odd niche subject or get a bit too verbose for my own good. If you don’t mind that, please feel free to check back each week (on Sunday, naturally) for new posts covering my thoughts on everything from movies, TV, and music to videogames, hockey, life in general and more.

In the meantime, I thought I’d dedicate this space here to tell you a bit about myself. I’ve been a Detroit Red Wings fan almost as long as I’ve been alive, and if someday I get paid to write long, rambling dissertations like some of the stuff you’ll likely be seeing on this site on a semi-regular basis, that’s something I would roughly call my dream job. Here are some other things I’m proud to call my favourites:

Movie: Dead Poets Society
TV show: Scrubs
Actor: Jack Nicholson, although John C. McGinley is a very close second
Book: 1984 by George Orwell. I’m also far too into Harry Potter if some of my posts around here didn’t tip you off.
Videogame: I’ll tell you later.
Band: An eternal three-way struggle between Brand New, Radiohead, and The Gaslight Anthem
Song: “Soco Amaretto Lime” by Brand New
Food: Chicken teriyaki / chicken parmigiana with bruschetta
Drink: Alexander Keith’s
Animal: Falcon
Hockey player: As a Red Wings fan, I’m pretty spoiled for choice here. But looking beyond that organization, it has to be Martin St. Louis.

Beyond that, it’s a personal goal of mine to assemble the manliest man cave that was ever manly, as well as build the most ambitious deck/pool/barbecue/backyard combination the world has ever seen. Even if there were no room left on my property to dedicate to anything else, I think I could get by just fine.

Kyle: I have enjoyed exploring your blogspot. Your sense of humour and satirical wit are certainly front and centre. You have a real talent which shines through each entry I have read. I will be sure to vist Fine Day Sunday again.
